Ely Artwalk 2013

Once again we find ourselves extremely remiss in our musings and postings of photographs ... our best laid plans falling short for several months.  Some of our happy couples from the past projects have been married nearly two years and have or are having little ones to remind us how fast time flies when we are having fun!

The photography beat goes on for R ... he practices his craft and continues in the "live and learn" mode with his photography ... very often taking our breath away with what he captures and other times furrowing his brow and feeling frustrated when he feels that he has missed his desired mark when it comes to his work.  He is truly his own worst critic ... but the work from behind his lense that is displayed this year in the Ely Artwalk speaks otherwise!

Mr & Mrs Matthew and Dawn Cherne

Our nephew Matthew Cherne and his bride Dawn married last August in Lakeville and Crystal Lake Golf Course. Rich captured some of the lovebirds' sweet moments through his lense ... and some of the fun too.  He enjoyed stalking the photographer and didnt seem to get in the way too much!   Congrats Dawn and Matt ... and three cheers to you both ... and also your sweet little boy blue addition to the family later this summer!  ;D

Mike and Leah Baroun

There hasn't been an Ely wedding in our immediate family for years, so when our niece Leah Novak and her fiance Mike Baroun announced that their nuptials would take place Up North we were very excited! And after many that they have each attended or been part of these past few years, this was also to be a first Ely wedding for our kids to experience as "grown ups." What a GREAT time we all had on that lovely September day ... young and old alike ... as this special couple made their promises and celebrated their love in our hometown with all the family on hand! R had fun watching them have fun ... and capturing them here and there through his lense ... Enjoy!

Family is a wonderful, wonderful entity.  They come in many sizes and are comprised in many ways. It is also wonderful to see a new family come together ... as Rich did through his lense last October when our nephew Tony married the sweet and lovely Loretta Smith and her son Ethan! A gorgeous autumn day provided a stunning back drop for this happy day ... and smiles were abundant as this little family made their promises and became one. The trio recently became worthy of more good wishes ... they are to welcome a new little boy into their dear family the summer of 2012!
